The day began early, like any other. But what you don’t yet know, dear readers, is that October 31, 2024, was something special. It came a few weeks later than planned due to regional flooding, which struck our school not once but twice. After weeks of planning, something wonderful came to life, something everyone was eagerly anticipating.

Everything started with a short introduction and a prayer in the assembly hall. Then, the students went to their pre-assigned project groups. There was a wide range of activities spread across the entire school grounds. Some projects focused on beautifying our CDSC, such as painting the columns near the art room, while others aimed to enhance our break times. From the school garden to tea making, crafting, and painting, everyone was kept busy and had the chance to express themselves in their own unique way.

After a few hours, everyone gathered again in the assembly hall. First, there were some musical performances, where everyone sang along enthusiastically, followed by a story emphasizing that, although we are all different, we can and should live together harmoniously.

Around noon, the students displayed their completed projects around the school grounds for everyone to admire. And there was indeed much to admire, dear readers. If you weren’t there to see it yourself, I’m sorry to say you missed out on something special! Painted pictures, plaster works, baked goods—there was so much to see.

This marked the end of the first part of this eventful day. Emphasis on the first part, because a few kilometers away, the evening festivities were already being prepared…
