On Friday, January 17, CDSC once again took part in the Junior Track & Field athletics competition at PTIS. And with considerable success! 25 athletes competed in various disciplines against nine other schools from the CMAC network and really gave their all. Even if not everyone made it onto the winners’ podium, everyone can be proud of themselves and their performance. The volunteers and parents also gave the children excellent support. Many thanks for this!
Here is a summary of the results:
- CDSC finished 5th overall.
- Mark Andre was the overall winner in the 6-7 age group
- TOP 10 for Elim (8th) and Marla (10th) in the 6-7 age group
- Ben finished 8th in the 8-9 age group
- Mila became third in the 10-11 age group
- Enok (8th) and Nicolas (9th) also made it into the TOP 10 in the 10-11 age group

Age group 6-7
- Gold for Elim in the 200-meter run
- Gold for Marla in the shot put
- Gold in the relay: Sue, Marla, Zoe, Elim
- 3x silver for Mark Andre: 200m, 400m and 800m
- Bronze for Mark Andre in the long jump
Age group 8-9
- Bronze for Ben in the high jump
Age group 10-11
- Mila: Bronze: 100-meter run, silver in the 800-meter run and silver in the high jump
- Gold in the high jump for Nicolas
- Bronze in the high jump for Enok
We are looking forward to hosting this tournament next year. We are currently looking for opportunities to host it at a different location with the appropriate conditions.
