A special day full of exercise, team spirit, and joy: All students in grades 1 to 11 participated enthusiastically in this year’s Sports Day at the German School Chiang Mai.
Under the motto “Hand in Hand,” the Sports Day, which was superbly organized by the student council, was all about togetherness. The children and young people competed in mixed-age teams – from elementary school to high school. The groups quickly grew together, and the older students took on the responsibility of looking after the younger ones.
At numerous stations – including a scavenger hunt, tug-of-war, and many other varied challenges – the teams were able to prove themselves athletically and have fun together. The atmosphere was exuberant, the weather cooperated, and the delicious lunch also contributed to a successful day.
The sports day lasted into the afternoon and was not only a sporting highlight of the school year, but also a social one. It impressively demonstrated how strong the cohesion is at our school – in keeping with our motto: “Hand in Hand.”
