Recently, things got wonderfully busy in the primary school! This year’s project week followed the theme “Under the Sea.” The children not only learned a lot, but also had the chance to get highly creative in a variety of workshops:

• In Mr. Buck’s workshops, the children learned a lot about fish and created fantastic aquariums with magnetic fish.

• With Mrs. Mesken, the children explored all kinds of sea creatures through playful activities and created matching artwork.

• In Mrs. Stolzenberg’s workshop, everyone became especially creative by building large aquariums out of shoeboxes.

• With Mrs. Imwalle and Mrs. Kramlich, the children learned about the problem of plastic in the oceans and discussed ways to reduce plastic use. They also created a huge underwater world from recycled plastic bottles.

• The Thai teachers also provided playful learning activities, where the children crafted small underwater worlds for candle lights.

• Finally, the interns organized a wonderful theatre workshop, which presented its scenes on Friday.

For this presentation, the parents of the primary school children came to admire the students’ impressive projects during a museum-style tour. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a shared buffet brought by the families, while the children appropriately concluded the project week with a few water games.

As always, the project week was a huge success and great fun for everyone!
