Challenging problems, exciting challenges, and mathematical thinking: This school year, the Christliche Deutsche Schule Chiang Mai (CDSC) is once again taking part in the Mathematics Olympiad.
The competition is aimed at students who enjoy mathematical challenges and would like to put their problem-solving skills to the test.
The First Round
The tasks for the first round can be collected in printed form from the students’ mathematics teachers. The subject teachers will decide which students are invited to participate in the first round. Therefore, the competition tasks will not be made available for download on the school website.
Students taking part in the competition can submit their solutions by the end of the autumn break to their mathematics teacher or class teacher.
What happens next?
The submitted solutions will then be evaluated. Participating students will receive their individual results from their mathematics teachers by the end of October. Results will not be publicly displayed.
Students who qualify for the next round will continue to the Regional Round, which will take place at CDSC in the form of a written examination.
