The calm before the storm (for the medals)

We can look back on another wonderful and successful day of competition at NIS. Although the sky above us looked very gloomy at times and there were heavy showers, all 60 events were completed. Each event can consist of up to six heats/races. The CDSC competed in the 6-7, 8-9, and 10-11 age groups and performed brilliantly in both individual races and relays. The relays in particular, where you don’t swim alone but in a team of four, create an incredible atmosphere of excitement. Teams were formed across age groups and school classes, and they worked together very well.

The wonderful thing about swimming, however, is that you get both team and individual achievements. As always, we were actively supported and cheered on from the poolside by our tireless parents, who thankfully provided us with all kinds of treats.

Special thanks to our volunteers and parents for their active support.
