On Monday, May 11, 2026, our school wrote a very special chapter in its history: our very first School Band Concert transformed the auditorium into a real concert arena filled with music, energy, lights, and excitement.

The celebrations already began early in the morning when the graduating students and their Abi band energized the entire school community with an unforgettable performance. Songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen had students and teachers singing, clapping, and dancing together from the very start of the day. It was especially impressive to see the courage and talent required to perform such a challenging classic.

The graduating class also had double the reason to celebrate: every single student successfully passed their Abitur examinations! The atmosphere was therefore emotional, joyful, and full of pride — the perfect way to celebrate this important milestone together as a school community.

In the evening, the main School Band Concert took place in the auditorium. With stage lights, fog machines, and a true live-concert atmosphere, the bands delivered incredible performances in front of an enthusiastic audience. Before long, nobody remained seated — the entire auditorium was singing, dancing, and celebrating together.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the grand finale: all bands returned to the stage together to perform Tage wie diese by Die Toten Hosen. The entire auditorium sang along loudly, creating an emotional and unforgettable goosebumps moment to end the concert.

A huge thank you goes to Mrs. Caroline Brinkmann and her husband Martin Brinkmann, who organized both events within a very short time, coached the bands, and rehearsed tirelessly with them. Martin Brinkmann even joined several songs on the drums and impressed everyone with his musical talent.

Without the dedication of these two, such an event would not have been possible. What made the performances even more remarkable was the fact that some of the bands had only been playing together for a few weeks.

Thank you to all guests, helpers, and especially to our amazing bands for this unique and unforgettable evening. Your performances were absolutely outstanding!
