The soccer tournament (January 21, 2025) got off to a promising start for the CDSC U14 team. In the first three games, the team showed an impressive performance by scoring special goals. The first game was against NIS. Despite the heavy pressure, our team started off focused. The game ended with a commanding 4:1 victory.
In the second game against Grace, we managed to carry over the energy we had already gained. This time it was a somewhat more difficult opponent, but in the end it was enough for a 3:1 victory.
The third game against VCIS was our easiest, as the game ended prematurely after a 2-0 win due to an injury to the opponents. The win secured us first place in the group.
In the fourth match against Lanna, we lost 8:9 after a penalty shoot-out. In the match for third place against Grace, we lost 2:1 after extra time. Our exhaustion made us susceptible to quick counterattacks in defense.
Despite the two defeats, we can be proud of our first three victories. We learned a lot and will use this experience in future tournaments.
