From 30.09. to 07.10., the annual meeting of the World Association of German Schools Abroad (WDA) took place in Berlin.
The chairman of the CDSC, Mr. Nescholta, who is also a member of the board of the WDA, participated there in the board meeting and the following annual meeting of the WDA. After the Bundestag elections, the association was primarily concerned with the question of which representatives would be able to promote the concerns of German schools abroad in the Bundestag and in the Federal Government during the new legislative period.
The final event was a symposium on 7 October, where the concerns of German schools abroad were discussed with various representatives of politics, the Federal Foreign Office and the university landscape. The participants in the discussion promised that politics will continue to support and develop the school system abroad in the coming years.
