Last Saturday, May 23, the final CMAC tournament of the 2025–2026 school year took place at the CMI Badminton Hall.  Full of anticipation and with high hopes for success, the group set off from the CDSC at 7 a.m. On 15 courts, the ambitious students competed simultaneously in the U12, U14, U16, and U20 age groups. First, they were divided into groups based on age and played against all other players in those groups, in a round-robin format, so to speak. The top finishers in each group qualified for the quarterfinals. There were numerous close and grueling matches, but unfortunately most did not make it to this round, despite having recorded victories in the group stage.
Our young athletes Aya, Ai, and Emme once again demonstrated their incredible skill level.  Aya finished third after defeating a Thai national team player (U12) in the quarterfinals. Emma faced a familiar, very strong opponent once again but unfortunately had to concede defeat. Ai won her final after losing the first set, thereby securing the overall victory in the U14 age group.
We can look forward to many more great matches from these three talented players in the future. A big thank you and congratulations to all the CDSC players who participated and gave it their all.
The participants were:
Class 5: Jaylen, Aya, Philly
Class 6: Ai, Luis
Class 7: Emma, Tim
Class 8: Andy, Hayden, Roy, Yoyo
Class 10: Jeremias, John, Jan-Georg
We’re already looking forward to the next badminton tournament and hope to see a large turnout.
