The last days before the Easter holiday, the students of the elementary school prepared for the reading competition. First, they read aloud texts selected by them in their own class. After one winner in each class had qualified, the entire elementary school gathered in the library on Friday, March 19.

Everyone listened intently to the finalists’ reading presentations. Two students of the first grade and two students of the second grade competed against each other. The third and fourth grades also sent one student each to the finals. The finalists read a familiar text which they prepared then an unfamiliar text which was prepared by teachers. The class winners were decided by a jury consisting of teachers, parents and students.

We congratulate Aihua, Sam and Selma on their victory!

We would also like to thank Vanessa, Mrs. Hunziker, Mr. Brandtner and Mr. Beutler for their efforts in the jury!
