On Tuesday, October 28, our U16 football players traveled to PTIS for the tournament of the best 8 teams from the Chiang Mai Athletic Conference. This in itself is already a remarkable achievement, considering that the team had previously prevailed against all other half-member teams in a mini tournament at ACIS.

After coming back from behind, the team turned up the heat, created numerous chances, and won an exciting game that had initially gone against us. In the final, the U16 team dominated but had to accept a draw due to some unfortunate scenes. The game went straight into a dramatic penalty shootout that was second to none. All five of our shooters scored confidently. The other team did too, but not quite. Our goalkeeper saved a penalty, and we advanced to the final tournament.

There, we first faced the LANNA team. The game seemed evenly matched, and there were chances. Unfortunately, it ended 1-2, and we needed six points from the last two games of the preliminary round. The team secured the first 3 points in the second game against NIS. The 1:0 score does not reflect the numerous chances we created. Nevertheless, it cheered us up and gave us momentum. In the last game against UCIS, who later crowned themselves tournament winners, the players gave it their all once again. After a hard fight and a lot of effort, we had to accept defeat and pay respect to our opponents. But that’s no reason to hang our heads.

We definitely have a strong team that can play together for years to come and bring us a lot of joy. It was a short but intense first season.

Thank you very much for your commitment.
