On Friday, February 23, 2024, the long-awaited laying of the foundation stone for our new kindergarten building took place. Our rainbow group and a completely new kindergarten group will move into this building from August 2024. A total of up to sixty children from the age of three will then be able to attend kindergarten at CDSC.
Ajarn Supaporn welcomed everyone to the opening and introduced the construction manager, architect and engineer of the building project.
Board member Katharina Fox said a prayer and then Ajarn Supaporn gave an impressive devotion in Thai and English.
“The cornerstone is the most important stone of a building, the one that holds it together. This is how the building grows, in which Jesus Christ himself is the cornerstone. ( Ephesians 2, 20-22). Without God’s blessing, the kindergarten and the school would not exist. We can be grateful for that.”
The children from the rainbow group also came to be present at the start of construction of their future home. At the end, everyone present was able to pour concrete and scatter flowers into the excavations.
We are all looking forward to the new building and can hardly wait to see the children’s eyes light up when they move in next school year.
