As part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup celebrations, CDSC was invited by the German Embassy in Bangkok and the Goethe-Institut to take part in a special football tournament at Prince Royal’s College in Chiang Mai.
A CDSC team made up of students from Grades 9–12 competed against four other schools from Chiang Mai where the German language is also actively promoted and taught. Alongside the football matches, the day featured a variety of activities and provided plenty of opportunities for students to meet, connect and get to know one another.
Above all, the tournament was about bringing students together, having fun and sharing a passion for sport. Football provided a wonderful opportunity to build connections beyond the classroom while celebrating the German language and culture in a lively and engaging setting.
Winning the tournament made the day even more special for our CDSC team. With great enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment, our students successfully competed against the other participating schools and proudly brought home the trophy.
